One Point

King James I Academy work closely with the ONE POINT service to ensure that the best possible support is provided for our students and their families.

One Point Hubs offer free advice and support for children, young people and families, from early pregnancy up until the young person reaches the age of 19 years (or 25 years if the young person has a disability). They provide a focal point for families, offering wider health and wellbeing needs all 'under one roof'.

One Point Family Workers work with you to ensure that your child is happy and healthy, and to tackle any problems that might affect their learning and development. The support they provide includes advice on:

  • bedtime routines
  • getting ready for school, including the importance of a healthy breakfast
  • help with setting boundaries, or putting rules in place
  • any issues that your child is experiencing, that's stopping them going to school
  • family relationships
  • support for children with special educational needs

The Hubs are open for anyone who wishes to drop in for advice and support. If you would like further support please contact them using the information below. They are open 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Friday.
