This year in response to feedback from our teachers and students we will be trialling a homework timetable.

Homework is a valuable educational tool. It provides students with opportunities to deepen their knowledge and subject specific skills. Research shows that homework also benefits retention of knowledge, self-discipline, time management, attitude to learning and problem solving skills- paving the way for both for exam success and lifelong learning

Work will still be set on ClassCharts and deadlines will be set by class teachers- this will usually be in the first lesson of the following week, giving students plenty of time to complete homework.

This timetable indicates when students may want to complete their homework. It is designed to support students with their time management.

Failure to complete homework will result in students completing a homework detention.

Students can access support with their homework via our homework clubs ensuring they have a quiet, supervised place to work after the school day.

Students will be rewarded for their efforts via ClassCharts.
