Curriculum Intent in RSE

The RSE teaching team are committed to providing high quality, age appropriate relationship and sex education for all pupils. Our lessons will cover the emotional, social and physical aspects of growing up, relationships, sex, human sexuality and sexual health. Our aim is to teach our young people the information and values they will need in order to take responsibility for their sexual health and have safe and fulfilling relationships. King James I Academy students provide feedback on their lessons, which in turn informs our planning to ensure that student’s lessons are both informative and relevant to their needs. Our RSE team is supported in the delivery of lessons by the School Nursing Service and King James I Academy Child Protection team.
