Year 11 students, working with Miss Whitaker, have just completed a Film Trailer for GCSE Media Studies, which they planned, filmed and edited independently. Students visited Auckland Castle to gather footage and also used locations around the school.

Aaron A, Joshua R, Callum H, Jacob L and Brandon L worked on their trailer, "The Inside Job', a prison break movie where two "useless cops' have one final chance to prove themselves. Callum and Brandon also pushed themselves by acting in their trailer, supported by Mr Saunders who also starred in their trailer!

Brogan W, Georgia D, Emily B and Shannon T worked on the trailer for their dance movie, "Azonto', about four girls who dream of entering a dance competition and overcome all obstacles to achieve their dream. All four girls starred in the trailer, helped by Sixth Former, Courtney W who trained them in the dance elements.

Lara E worked completely independently on her own trailer for her film idea, 'Superhero Arising', using green screen technology, applying special effects and even designing her own costumes. She worked extremely hard due to her passion for film!

The students then broke into teams to edit their footage and compete in a class competition to produce the best finished piece. The winners were Brogan W, Shannon T, Callum L and Brandon L who all showed an excellent commitment to their work. All students gained a GCSE grade B and higher for this element of their coursework.
