Year 10 students have been taking part in a revision and retention day with a focus on flash cards.

Over the past year we have been working hard to develop a wide range of strategies to help students retain knowledge in all subjects. We understand that students learn in different ways and therefore need a range of approaches to help them revise from effective note taking to presentations, mind mapping and flash cards.

This week, the focus was on the use of personally created flash cards which allow students to choose key words that will help them remember essential information. Students created cards in all timetabled lessons with great success to show how they could be used for all subjects.
