On 17th March, as part of National Science and Engineering Week, a group of students will be visiting Kielder Observatory for an evening of stargazing.
The trip, which has been organised by Mr Lawton, our STEM Co-ordinator offers a fantastic opportunity to view the stars in purpose-built surroundings, opened by Sir Arnold Wolfendale, 14th Astronomer Royal, in the heart of forest.
Kielder boasts some of the darkest skies in the UK and this, combined with state-of-the-art equipment, makes for an unrivalled astronomical experience.
