Disney Lorcana by Ravensburger is new trading card game for all ages. Ravensburger publishing company are looking to introduce Lorcana clubs to schools across the UK and thanks to an appeal by Stockton-based store and gaming centre, Beanie Games, for schools to join a pilot programme, we are pleased to be one of the first schools in the North East to test out the products at our after-school Games Club.

The game allows players to take on the role of ‘Illumineers’ and weild magic ink to summon Disney characters, known as ‘glimmers’. The series features more than 200 original pieces of Disney art making it particularly appealing to collectors and Disney fans. It tells the story of Illumineers who are transported to the mysterious realm of Lorcana, and after accidentally unleashing a flood of ink that scattered lore among the realm, Illumineers must find the missing lore and return it to the Hall of Lorcana.

Thanks to the support of Beanie Games, we have been supplied with a range of resources for free to get this club up and running, including the cards themselves, card cover and dice. Students who are interested in learning how to play can come along to Games Club in the Library from 3.30pm-4.30pm every Wednesday or find out more from Mr Blood or Mr Wheatley.
