King James I Academy work closely with the ONE POINT service. Regular ‘Team Around the School’ (TAS) meetings are held between One Point and the Academy to ensure that the best possible support is provided for our students and their families.

One Point Hubs provide a focal point for children, young people and their families, with wider health and wellbeing needs all 'under one roof'. The Hubs bring together several children and young people's services.

Examples of things that happen in the Hubs include:
•    Promote healthy eating and exercise through a fresh fruit co-op and providing gym equipment.
•    Promote young people's enjoyment of life through supporting them to access a range of positive activities.
•    Engage with children, young people and their families to improve access to services, including health, careers, education, emotional wellbeing services, housing and contraception and sexual health advice and support.
