On March 23rd, hundreds of our students took part in a giant Mexican wave to help raise money for Sport Relief 2018. The spectacular event was organised by Year 9 students who are all members of the Academy Council.

Celebrated each year on March 14th (3.14), Pi Day is dedicated to the mathematical constant. First recognised 30 years ago in 1988 by Physicist Larry Shaw, Pi Day observers celebrate in different ways.

In September 2018, due to an exceptionally high number of applications, 184 young people will be joining Year 7 at King James. This is the largest intake we have had in recent years, and one which has led us to employ a number of additional Teachers to ensure that our class sizes are not increased.

Our Annual Prize Evening gives us the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of students across all year groups. Awards recognise overall academic achievement, effort, talent in specific subjects, community projects and contribution towards making our Academy such an incredible place to learn and work.
