Students in all year groups are able to take part in a wide range of lunch time clubs and the choice is set to grow as the weather gets colder and activities move indoors.

Sixth Form students have today benefitted from an assembly delivered by Martin Jones, Hub Co-ordinator for South West Durham Wellbeing for Life initiative.

Year 11 student, Ruby S has won Durham County Council’s Young Peoples’ Award for ‘Outstanding Person’ 2022.

Staff and students have raised £367 for Macmillan Cancer Support at the much-loved annual Coffee Morning event, which was organised by members of our Sixth Form Team.

Year 11 Art students have been taking part in a practical printmaking workshop inspired by the work of British printmaker, artist and designer, Angie Lewin.

Our Media department has been working on a new project called King James Story Time, a filmed show where students read story books for young children.

Mr Collingwood, one of our Art Teachers has recently organised a bake sale in the Common Room with all funds raised going to The Lily Foundation.

Staff at King James I Academy would like to congratulate students on their fantastic GCSE results, which have been released today.
