  • To support improvements in attendance and an overall reduction in instances of poor behaviour and exclusions (fixed and permanent).
  • To ensure that students’ additional needs are well met and that those in receipt of Pupil Premium funding, and those classified as SEND, are receiving appropriate support and that this support enables them to make good progress and to achieve positive outcomes.
  • To audit, recognise and promote the ways in which the Academy develops positive attitudes to life and learning, including the consideration of the way in which Fundamental British Values and Social, Moral, Social and Cultural experiences are furthered.
  • To promote equality of opportunity for all students whatever their individual characteristics.

Impact:

  • A positive learning environment which nurtures, promotes and celebrates inclusion and high achievement for students; challenging prejudice and satisfying the individual needs of all students.
  • Creates a positive climate for learning in which all students are valued and which diversity is recognised and celebrated.
  • Support structures are in place to ensure that every child receives the support they need and where they have a range of trusted adults upon whom they can rely.
  • LAC / SEND students’ (and those classified as “Pupil Premium”) needs are identified and met by teachers and by the support staff employed by the Academy.
