Business Studies (BTEC)

This course is designed for those with a keen interest in the business world and how it operates.

Entry Requirements:

A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, good computer skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Knowledge of local and regional businesses and a Level 2 Business qualification would be desirable.

 

How the course is taught

The course is delivered through a practical programme involving study of real-life businesses and assignment based tasks. A vocational study option allows students to apply theory to contextual businesses. Students can choose a course of study comprising of four or eight units.

Students who have gained this qualification have moved into Higher Education to Degree programmes such as Business and Marketing or Business and Finance. Students can also apply their skills in industry such as public or private sector work. It provides an excellent preparation for immediate entry into employment.
