Members of our Year 8 Future Business Magnates Team have attended the launch of the FBM Competition 2025-26, which was held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Durham.

Accompanied by Mrs McGlade and Miss Curtis, the group of eight students heard about this year’s exciting theme, which is ‘Your Town, Your Story: Shaping Tomorrow Together’. This means working together to develop an idea for a business to celebrate or highlight Bishop Auckland.

At the event, the group took part in some team building activities to learn some of the skills they will need to work in a team throughout the competition. Activities were also designed to help students identify their individual strengths; this could be particularly useful in the coming weeks and months. We look forward to hearing their progress.
