Students in Year 7 were visited by Commonwealth and Olympic gymnast, Craig Heap this month. The former Captain of the GB Gymnastics Team came to King James to deliver an inspirational assembly to students to coincide with the launch of our Summer of Sports initiative.

Year 12 students have recently visited Linton's Printers in Crook to learn about commercial printing as part of their Print-Based Media studies. The visit was arranged so that students could gain a better understanding of the process involved in lithographic printing, a commercial process used to produce high quality printed products, including Vision magazine.

Mrs Babington, our Food Technology teacher has ambition. Since discovering Todmorden's "Incredible Edible' scheme, which utilises all available space to grow vegetables for the local community, she has dreamed of a similar project at King James. Now, it is about to happen.
