Year 7 students have taken part in a virtual author talk with Kalynn Bayron, author of the popular fantasy novels, Cinderella is Dead and The Poison Heart.

Kalynn Bayron is a New York Times and Indie bestselling author of fantasy novels; her latest works include This Wicked Fate and the paranormal adventure, The Vanquishers.

In the session, Kalynn talked about her new books and her writing process from concept and research to building characters, structuring and writing a story. This was designed to help inspire our young people to explore their own ideas and develop their skills in creative writing. It is hoped that the result will be more confident writers.

Students really enjoyed the session and had lots of questions for the author. This was just one of a programme of similar events which are planned by our Academy Librarian.
