Marvellous meringues!

Year 10 students in Food and Nutrition have been creating a variety of meringue based desserts in lessons this week.

Mrs Lamb, Teacher and Director of Learning for the department, challenged the students to design and produce a dessert that not only tasted amazing but that was also beautifully presented.

Students learned techniques to make the perfect meringue and combined the finished result with a selection of fruit, cream, chocolate and various edible decorations. Mrs Lamb's previous lessons in food presentation also proved to be hugely successful as students produced desserts that could easily be served in a top quality restaurant. Well done everyone.
