Four students in Year 9 have achieved the Industrial Cadets Teamwork Award 2024 as part of our extra-curricular STE(A)M activities programme. The programme is an initiative from the nationwide educational charity, EDT.

Led by Physics Teacher and STE(A)M Coordinator, Mr Riley, the girls, Dakota H, Reka B, Chloe C and Tina W, worked together to develop a range of skills to help them work towards a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.

For the project entitled 'My School is an Island', the team were challenged to create a self-sufficient school which could grow food, generate it's own power and have an effective travel system and infrastructure, all while thinking about sustainability and environmental impact.

This is just one of the many activities that we organise for students to promote enthusiasm in these subjects.
