Students in Years 7-9 have taken part in a Road Safety Awareness event with PCSOs from Durham Constabulary and sniffer dogs, Benny and Jet, pictured here.

There were two sessions; the first involved a road safety talk and Q&A session, which was followed by a fun quiz to test understanding. Students then learned about the work of Benny and Jet, who of course stole the hearts of our students and behaved impeccably throughout! The second session involved a walk around Bishop Auckland to put everything into practice, from using pelican and zebra crossings to finding safe places to cross the road.
