As millions of tennis fans look forward to watching Wimbledon 2016 on TV, our Girls Active sports group are preparing to join the crowds of ticket holders on Court 2.

This month, eight of our Sixth Formers, accompanied by Mr Longstaff and three Junior Leaders, will be travelling to Glastonbury to working as part of the 30,000-strong volunteer team at the iconic Glastonbury Festival 2016.

A group of Year 10 boys have been learning about a career in Engineering thanks to industry-focused sessions with Hydram Engineering.

Our Year 13 Leavers' Event will take place on Wednesday July 13th aboard the Prince Bishops River Cruiser in Durham City.

Our Head Boys, Head Girls, and Prefect Team, have been working alongside Bishop Auckland Town Planning Team to help identify ways to improve our town.

Students and staff are looking forward to our annual Sports Day, which will take place on Tuesday 19th July at Bishop Auckland Cricket Club.

This month, 24 students in Years 7-10 attended our fourth annual Outward Bound Trust residential trip to the Lake District to take on a number of outdoor pursuits.

Year 8 students have recently enjoyed the ultimate multi-sensory literature experience, designed to enhance their enjoyment of 'Kensuke's Kingdom' by Michael Morpurgo.

Year 9 students, Nathan K and Jak C have spent the last term developing their mechanical knowledge and skills by building a mini-motorbike as part of a new initiative which nurtures the talents and ambitions of aspiring young mechanics.

Following our Annual Academy Election, our Head Boy, Head Girl and Prefect Team have now been appointed. The successful candidates will serve their peers for the next year.
