As part of our busy programme of events for the last week of term, our PE Department organised four Sports Day events, one for each year group from 7-10.

Some events took place prior to our track days, with students taking part in male and female events including Shot Putt, Discus, Javelin, Standing Broad Jump and Standing Triple Jump. Track events including 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and the 4 x 100m relay then followed over two days.

At the Year 7 Sports Day, the trophy was shared by Miss Armstrong and Mr Leatherland’s form groups with 120 points each, beating Miss Mason and Miss Gowland’s form groups into second and third place respectively. In Year 8, the winning form group was Miss Ward’s, with 129 points overall, followed by Mrs Lamb in second place with 126 points and Miss Thornton in third with 86.

In the Year 9 competition, Miss Dixon’s form group claimed victory with 90 points, followed by Mr Blood and Mr Smith’s form groups in second and third with 82 and 81 points; and finally, the Year 10 title was claimed by Miss Ford’s form group with 110 points, with Miss Wilkinson and Mrs Binns in second and third.
