Studying Tourism and Business in Madrid

The group visited the Warner Bros Theme Park and considered the surrounding businesses that benefit from it.

A group of Year 10 Travel and Tourism students have travelled to Madrid for an exciting trip which focused upon the impact of tourism on the economy.

During the three-day trip, the group were able to experience sightseeing on the Teleferico, narrated cable cars which travel above the city transporting millions of tourists each year. They also enjoyed the thrill of the roller coasters at the Warner Bros Theme Park, visited the Bernabeu Stadium, the home of Real Madrid and experienced the vibrant spanish culture and cuisine in the city.

On their return to King James, students discussed the importance of visitors to Madrid and considered how local businesses depend upon tourists to survive.
