Sixth Form Maths students, Paige M and Caitlin G have both achieved a Certificate of Distinction in the prestigious UKMT Mathematical Olympiad for Girls 2015.

The event, which is organised and run by the UK Mathematics Trust, is designed to help schools encourage and nurture the talents of young female mathematicians. Over 1,600 girls nationwide participated, with only the top 22% receiving a Certificate of Distinction; this gives an indication of the excellent achievement of our students.

In September, both students will be entering higher education, with Paige continuing her studies in Maths with a Masters Degree in Mathematics at the University of York, and Caitlin pursuing a Degree in Japanese Studies at Durham University, which includes a period of study overseas.
