Following the warm and wet summer holiday, Year 13 Photography student, Sean C has returned to King James to find his bug hotel fully booked with an array of insect guests!

Sean developed the idea to complete a personal photographic study of insects as part of his A' Level Photography studies in June, and immediately set about creating the perfect environment to encourage a wide variety of insects to set up home.

The luxury habitat, which is located in the Common Room garden, is aptly named 'Bugingham Palace' and it is now a living city of woodlice, centipedes, spiders, beetles and ants. The surrounding flowers and plants are also attracting bees, butterflies and ladybirds so Sean will have plenty to photograph in the coming weeks.
