In July, we said farewell to students in Year 11 as they embarked upon the next stage in their lives, whether that be Sixth Form at King James, an apprenticeship programme, a full time job or college.

Following their final GCSE exam in June, Year 11s enjoyed the traditional speeches, shirt signing, leavers’ video and End of Year Barbeque in school, which was cooked and served by Mrs Lamb and her Sixth Form catering students.

This was followed by the Year 11 Prom in July, which was a glittering affair at Hall Garth Golf and Country Club in Darlington. Students looked amazing in their formal wear and it was great to see both students and staff enjoying the event together, and the dance floor packed until the very end of the evening.
