Getting it right

We take bullying very seriously here at King James and so we were delighted with the results of this year's confidential student survey, which told us that incidents of bullying in our school are rare. Obviously, we want that figure to be nil and so our team of King James Heroes have been working with Mrs Jennings on a student-friendly campaign to raise awareness on what constitutes bullying and how to get help.

Students need to be aware that we have structures in place to deal with incidents fast and that they can approach our Student Support Team at any time. That's why we enlisted the help of our Heroes. The "BULLYING - NOT IN OUR SCHOOL!' campaign, which was launched by Mrs Jennings in assembly, sends out a clear message to bullies and reminds students that we are here to support them.

At the assembly, students in all year groups received a credit card size guide promoting the campaign, which was written by Heroes and specifically designed to fit easily into the breast pocket of their blazer.
