Our 2015 Glastonbury Festival Volunteer Team are busy planning and fundraising for the event in June. This is the second year we have offered this exciting opportunity to Sixth Form students.

The team consists of fourteen students in Years 13 and 14, who all gained a place following a rigourous written application process and subsequent interview. As part of the vast Glastonbury crew, the team will work each day from 6.00am until 12 noon, litter picking to keep the site clean for the estimated 130,000 festival goers. At the end of their shift however, they are free to enjoy the star-studded line up and diverse range of shopping and leisure activities on site.

The group will be accompanied on the trip by Mr Longstaff and Miss Whitaker. "This is an excellent opportunity for personal growth," said Mr Longstaff, who has organised the trip for the second year. "Last year's group gained so much more than anticipated from the experience in terms of confidence, independence and social skills; this was particularly beneficial for those who went on to study at university.
