Enterprising Year 8 students have been busy running their own mini-enterprise as part of The Tenner Challenge, a national competiton for young people.

Working with Business Studies and Enterprise Teacher, Mrs Lobb, the group, consisting of Mia H, Emma H, Tiegan C, Faye H and Phoebe M began the challenge by thinking of ideas for a mini-enterprise. They were then given £10 to make their ideas a reality and generate as much profit as possible in just four weeks! Following shrewd negotiation, the team were successful in obtaining a surplus-to-requirements supply of bath bombs from a local business and their company, Fizzy Soaks was born. All stock was sold for an excellent profit margin.

At the end of the four weeks, as stated in the rules of the competition, the team returned the initial £10 investment plus a £1 gift legacy to ensure the future success of the programme, before enjoying their profits!
