Following the Easter holiday, our Library will be launching a series of special events for comic book fans to celebrate International Free Comic Book Day, which takes place on Saturday 2nd May 2015.

The worldwide event encourages people of all ages to celebrate and discover the amazing world of comic books. Taking place annually on the first Saturday in May, Free Comic Book Day is a single day when participating comic book specialty shops across the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shop.

As the day approaches, King James events will include themed Enrichment sessions, comic swaps and writing competitions. We will also be buying a selection of comics and graphic novels to add to our library.
