A group of students in Years 7 and 8 have competed in the County Durham Level 3 Sainsbury's School Games.

The event attracted schools from all over County Durham and we were representing the Wear Valley area. Students took part in a Mountain Biking event organised by British Cycling in which the girls team, consisting of Alicia L, Alex H, Alice H and Lilly H, came third overall, claiming bronze medals. The whole team also met Sophie Cox, an Olympic Judo competitor who was part of Team GB at both Athens and London 2012.

The rest of the team included Lydia F, Reegan H, Matthew W, Josh R, Kieran L, Kyle T, Joe W, Lewis A, Andrew C and Cameron C.
