Year 12 students at King James have attended an assembly on sexual health and the new NHS C-Card scheme.

The assembly was held by representatives Sandra and Yasmin from the Durham & Darlington NHS Trust; they also held a drop-in session afterwards for all Sixth Formers to sign up for the scheme and to receive their card.

The C-Card provides access to free condoms and advice for all young people between the ages of 13 and 24 years old. All they have to do is show their card at one of the many participating pharmacies in and around Bishop Auckland and Spennymoor.

We have an extensive programme of events and talks which are designed to raise awareness and promote good health and wellbeing, from mental and physical health to sexual health; all of these are important to the lives of our young people.
