Each half term, students in all year groups collect a raffle ticket when they borrow and return a book from our Academy Library. These tickets are entered into a draw for an Amazon tablet, which is awarded at the end of each half term and this means that the more books a student reads, the more raffle tickets they earn and therefore the more chances to win they have.

Students have read over 700 books this half term, but Ella read five books in just eight weeks so this prize is much deserved. Using her new tablet, Ella will now have full access at home to over 2,000 books online via the ePlatform app. King James subscribes to this excellent eBook lending platform, which allows young readers to access a huge store of ebooks on multiple devices.
