Students and staff at King James I Academy have raised £521.41 for Macmillan thanks to a coffee morning held in the Sixth Form Common Room.
In preparation for the event, students and staff baked and bought an array of sweet and savoury items, and everyone gave generously to fill a plate to enjoy with their tea and coffee. The annual event is a much-anticipated date on the Academy calendar, and only one of many fundraising initiatives that take place throughout the year to support both local and national charities. King James is now organising their annual Christmas fundraisers including a Foodbank Appeal, Toy Drive and Festive Fair which helps to support local businesses and craft artisans.
