The Careers Team at King James I Academy works collaboratively to deliver a high-quality, inclusive careers programme that supports all students to make informed decisions about their future pathways. The team provides strategic leadership, impartial guidance and targeted support to ensure careers education is embedded across the curriculum and aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks and statutory guidance.
Careers provision includes personalised guidance, structured support for post-16 and post-18 transitions, aspiration-raising interventions, and specialist support for students with SEND and those requiring additional guidance. Strong links with PSHE, safeguarding, sixth form provision and higher education pathways ensure a coherent and progressive approach.
Through close collaboration, the Careers Team ensures all students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to progress successfully into education, employment or training.
