At our recent Year 6 Open Evening event, hundreds of children entered a competition to win a brand new Amazon tablet, and today the winner came to King James to collect his prize from Mr Whitehead, our Headteacher.

Ten-year-old Leo T, who currently attends Victoria Lane Primary School, returned to King James with his Mum and big sister, Lori-Leigh who is already a student in Year 10. The reason for Leo’s visit had been kept secret to increase the element of surprise; he thought that he was returning for another tour of the facilities so he was delighted to discover that he had actually won the competition.

Mr Whitehead congratulated Leo on his success in collecting all the required stars at the open evening before presenting him with an Amazon Fire HD8 Plus tablet. Well done Leo, we hope you enjoy your new technology!
