Students in Years 7-10 have attended a series of educational workshops delivered by the Foundation of Light, the official charity of Sunderland AFC.

The charity, which was established on 2001, offers a variety of programmes designed to positively impact the health, behaviour, attitude, skills and education of both children and adults. With so many young people facing a variety of ever-evolving challenges in life, secondary schools need to adapt their approach to pastoral care, behaviour management and emotional support; this is where the charity can help.

At King James, The Foundation of Light delivered thought-provoking workshops with a focus on equality to promote greater understanding of diversity in society. This was just one of the many learning activities that we organise to raise awareness and encourage our young people to invest in their local community.
