Teacher of Geography, Mrs Fegan, pictured here with some of the Bronze Award recipients.
Students in current Years 10 and 11 who took part in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards programme last year have now received their Bronze certificates from this prestigious organisation.
To achieve the Bronze Award, students had to develop a new skill, complete a period of volunteering in a variety of fields and take part in an overnight expedition, which included an eight mile hike.
The DofE Awards gives students the opportunity to achieve a much respected accolade for their CV, alongside the many personal benefits such as increased confidence, resilience and independence. My of the group have now chosen to progress onto the more challenging Silver Awards programme. Mrs Fegan, pictured here with some of the current Year 10s, worked with students in 2024 and will continue to lead on the programme in the coming year.
