Three groups of students have been rewarded with a free trip to see the spectacular Aglow Light Trail in the grounds of Auckland Castle.

Aglow has 22 illuminations and some of the largest light installations in the country, set out along a 1.5 mile trail through Auckland Palace’s gardens and grounds. It also has one of the largest Christmas trees in the North of England, the longest outdoor light tunnel in the country and Santa’s Village, with regular performances by Santa and his elves.

Despite terrible weather on the night, students had an excellent time, commenting afterwards that the lights were spectacular.
