Congratulations to Lilly H, Year 6 pupil at Thornhill Primary School in Shildon, who is the winner of our Year 6 Open Evening competition.

At Open Evening, Lilly visited different departments to take part in one of the many activities and collect stamps on her competition card. Her card was then drawn from the hundreds of entries at the end of the event.

Lilly, who was presented with her prize of a Lenovo Tab M10 by our Headteacher, Simon Whitehead, was delighted with the tablet, explaining that she had planned to ask for one for Christmas so this was an early surprise.

Applications are now open for parents of children in Year 6 to apply for a secondary school place for September 2025. You can apply at www.durham.gov.uk before the deadline of October 31st.
