Each year, students in Years 10 and 12 take part in Work Experience Week, with placements in a wide variety of sectors.
In 2024, a number of students worked with The Auckland Project, including Year 12 student, Danny C, pictured here with Gemma Scott, Education Officer for the organisation.
Working with classmate, Bobbie D, the duo created a short documentary on our working partnership with The Auckland Project, focusing on how it continues to benefit all departments in terms of learning opportunities outside of the classroom.
Other placements included Jack Drum Arts, The Fox’s Tail, The Angel Trust, Day Break Nursery, Ivy Rose Bridal Co, Butterwick Hospice, Victoria Lane Academy, Timothy Hackworth Primary School, GSK, Brewer’s Fayre, NC Group Ltd, Cockton Hill News, Blue Kangaroo, Swift Engraving Services, Crook Primary School, Peases West Primary School and many more.
We would like to thank all of the local businesses who agreed to give our students this fantastic opportunity.
