Stay safe. Never take risks with water.

Water-safety is a key element of the King James I Academy personal development programme, and this year we feel that raising awareness of water-safety and drowning-prevention is even more crucial, given the circumstances we are all currently facing. Every year we have a water-safety week, during which guest speakers visit the academy and you, the students, complete activities surrounding this important issue.

We are working with Durham County Council and key partners from the Royal Lifesaving Society and emergency services to promote drowning prevention and raise the importance of water safety during Drowning Prevention Week, which takes place from 12th- 19th June.

We would like to encourage you all to visit the following websites, and find out more information.

We want you to stay safe! Never take risks with water!
