Year 11- 13 Art and Photography students have recently returned from a five day cultural visit to Barcelona. Students were amazed with the beautiful architecture, vibrant culture and the sightseeing opportunities.

The group attended a range of different attractions including Gaudi's famous Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell. They also sampled local cuisine at La Boqueria food market and Las Ramblas. Three students were also lucky enough to attend a champion's League match between Barcelona and PSV Eindhoven at Camp Nou where Barcelona were the victors, beating PSV 4-0.

Students also visited Barcelona Cathedral and the Gothic Quarter on a walking tour. After speaking to the group, some of their highlights also included visiting Bunker Guinardo where they were able to capture panoramic views and amazing photos of the whole city of Barcelona including this one to the right. They also enjoyed their time at the beach and the competitions in the hotel pool.

On an evening, the group tried a wide variety of local tapas and even picked up some of the local language with help from our Spanish specialist, Mr Grey. Students thoroughly enjoyed their time in Barcelona and would love to go back and do it all again next year.
