Mrs Wilson brought Ruby, her pet Corn Snake to class to allow students to better understand reptiles.

This year we have introduced an exciting new BTEC qualification in Animal Management for Sixth Form students who aspire to a career working with animals.

The new Level 3 course was introduced in response to a number of requests from Year 11 students with a passion for working with animals. The diverse course allows students to gain a broad understanding of animal welfare and care with a view to entering one of the many specialist degree courses on offer at University following Sixth Form.

In an early lesson, students were fascinated to learn about snakes first hand thanks to a visit from Ruby the Corn Snake, who belongs to subject Teacher, Mrs Wilson.
