Students take part in the customary 'shirt signing' as a souvenir of their time at King James.

Following their final exam this week, our Year 11s have been celebrating at our annual Leavers' Barbeque Event.

As is customary at King James, Year 11s signed shirts as a souvenir of their uniform-wearing years before receiving their Leavers' Book and settling down to watch the first screening of the 2017 Leavers' Film, which reflected upon their time with us. With photographs from Year 7 and footage from Year 11, the film was a moving tribute to an outstanding year group.

Students are now looking forward to the Year 11 Prom, which will take place at Redworth Hall next month, before embarking upon the next chapter in their lives following GCSE results day; we are sure that this will be another day of celebration as they reap the rewards of their hard work.

Many of our Year 11 cohort will be returning to King James in September to join our Sixth Form, whilst others will be taking up a variety of Apprenticeship programmes and college courses. It has been a privilege to teach and know these young people; we wish them the very best of luck and every success in achieving their ambitions in the future.
