King James 6 - 3 Ferryhill

The King James I Academy's Year 7 football team endured a challenging League Table match against Ferryhill. Both teams gave their all from the start of the game with King James battling to victory.

Despite an early goal from Ferryhill, which temporarily deflated King James' team morale slightly, it didn't halt the team coming back with a vengeance during the second half of the match after a motivating sideline pep talk from team Captain, Jack Spencer.

King James quickly equalised with the host team and remained the stronger team scoring a further five goals that perfectly dodged the goalkeeper and hit the back of the net before the final whistle; with credit to King James scorers Rhys P. (2), Harrison T. (1) and Jake D. (3).

This was an incredible result for the Year 7 squad; team members performed superbly together displaying a high level of sportsmanship and are ready for their next match against Bishop Barrington next Tuesday 11th October 2016.

Bring it on, well done lads!
