Last year's Outward Bound team get ready to try kayaking for the first time.

On Monday 27th April, 20 students in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 will depart from King James to take part in the annual OAA trip to Ullswater in The Lake District.

Students will spend five challenging but fun days taking part in a range of outdoor activities including rock climbing and kayaking. In previous years, we have found that not only does the experience improve personal and emotional well-being, but it also increases resilience and improves relationships with others as participants return with more confidence and better communication skills.

Most importantly, the trip allows students to develop as individuals; it has a real impact on the way they feel about themselves and builds personal, social and emotional skills that will help them throughout their life.
