King James students are preparing to defend the Durham County Boccia League Championship title, gained in July 2013 when Mrs Barlow and her elite Boccia players took the crown after winning the league by a 10 point margin.

Daniel N, Laura S, Holly T, Isaac M, Bethany F and Callum S triumphed in the Boccia League after participating in a number of matches against eight other schools in and around the Durham Area.

Joseph W, who is pictured here with the other team members is joining the King James Boccia team and will participate in competitions this season. Joseph said: "I'm really excited to be playing Boccia and can't wait to get started."

Boccia Co-ordinator, Mrs Barlow said: "Firstly, a big well done to all the students of King James who have helped the school win the trophy. They have done extremely well and we are proud of them all, they are a big asset to the school and their hard work has been acknowledged."

We wish our team the best of luck in the 2013-2014 season, which gets underway on Monday 18th November.
