Representatives from the Wellbeing for Life initiative came to talk to students about health and wellbeing.

Sixth Form students have been visited by representatives of the County Durham Wellbeing for Life initiative, which offers free advice and emotional support to over 16s.

The scheme helps people improve both their mental and physical health, and advisers can offer support with healthy eating, mental wellbeing and resilience, improving physical activity and accessing appropriate support. They have already worked successfully with 35,000 people across the district.

Lockdown affected people in different ways with many suffering from loss of confidence, sleep and anxiety disorders and reduced physical health as a result. The Wellbeing for Life scheme is designed to help people overcome these issues and get back on track. Students were given some brilliant advice during the talk to inspire them to make positive life changes including these personal pledge cards.
