For any students who have a school owned Chromebook device that is in need a repair, there will be a final drop in session on Monday 6th April between 8 and 11am. If the gates are locked, please phone the Academy on 01388 603388 to hand the Chromebook over. Please note, that this should only be from non-self isolating households as to prevent the spread of the virus. Please practice social distancing in the event that there is anyone else at the school at the time. (Updated 3/4/2020)

Senior Maths Challenge

December 2019


A team of four of our A’ Level Maths students, have recently competed in the regional finals of the Senior Maths Team Challenge in Durham.

Rebecca H and Riley J in Year 12, and Year 13 students, Euan E and Leon D, all pictured right, managed a top ten finish with the team particularly enjoying the cross-number round.

Also last term, students in Years 12 and 13 competed in the UKMT Senior Challenge. Year 13s, Abbi S and Alex P both received Best in Year, Best in School, and Bronze certificates, and Year 12 student, Courtney S also received Best in Year and a Bronze certificate. Finally, Euan E and Rebecca H received Bronze certificates. Well done to everyone.
