Well done to our Sixth Form students for achieving another fantastic set of results in Summer 2018.

The results have helped 100% of the students who applied for places at a range of prestigious Universities, to move on to their University placement of choice. As well as congratulating students moving into Higher Education we would also like to pass on our good wishes to the many students who are continuing their studies or who are moving into the world of work, into employment and apprenticeships.

Our notable successes include Shannon G, who achieved two A and two B grades at A' Level and will be progressing to Newcastle University, through the Partners Scheme, to study a combined honours degree in Japanese and History. Abigail S will also be moving to Newcastle University to study Bio-Chemistry and, following Sophie S's success, she will be moving to Hull University to begin a Degree in Chinese Studies.

Evie W, a very creative and talented artist who has produced some exceptional media productions, achieved A* in both A' Level Art and A' Level Photography as well as a Distinction in Media Studies and will be moving to Leeds Arts University to study Film Making.

Matthew T achieved an A* in Photography and a double Distinction in his double-award Sport course and will be going to Leeds to pursue his interest in Sports Coaching. Kieron T will be pursuing his interest in nursing at Lincoln having achieved positive outcomes across a range of subjects.

Tessa H is going to study History at Sunderland and achieved B grades in A' Level English and A' Level History and a Distinction* in Media Studies. Abby W, who has made a significant and valued contribution to a range of Academy events, will be pursuing her interest in Business at Leeds Beckett University having achieved success across a range of subjects. Emily B has also made a significant contribution to the life of the school and she will be moving to Sunderland University to study Digital Film Production. Emily H is moving to Northumbria University to study Geography having achieved A*, Distinction* and C grades. Ellie J is going to study Media, Culture and Communication at Sunderland University.

Having already achieved success in 2017, Niamh E is going to Kingston University to study Drama and Acting (A*, B, C in 2017) and Holly H will be studying Fashion Design at Manchester Metropolitan University (A*, A*, A, B in 2017). Both Niamh and Holly have enjoyed a gap year in which they worked as Learning Support Assistants for a term at King James and they then spent 6 months working in Navarai, a small town in Brazil close to the Paraguayan border. We wish them well following their significant contribution to two communities.

Congratulations to all of our students and also to the many teaching and support staff who have helped them to enjoy their time at King James and to achieve significant success. Thanks also go to the parents and family members who have made sacrifices and who have supported and encouraged students to excel. Good luck for the future; a future we are sure will be filled with continued success and celebration.
