The King James I Academy Panathlon Team has returned victorious from the recent "Durham County Panathlon' event at Freeman's Quay Leisure Centre in Durham.

Escorted by Mrs Barlow, one of our specialist Learning Mentors, King James were crowned the champions, with an overall score of 54 points at the mini-paralympics day. She said, "We love how inclusive this competition is. It is an amazing day for our students as so many children of different abilities can take part. It's well organised and relaxed and the team leaders do a great job. Of course it's great to be the winners too."

Team Captain, Andrew D in Year 10 said, "We all really enjoyed it. It feels great to be the champions and to bring the trophy home for King James."
